Our Pledge
DevCongress is a community built on respect, collaboration, and the shared belief that builders across Africa deserve a space to grow together. We pledge to make participation in our community a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, level of experience, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

- Show empathy and kindness to fellow members
We do not tolerate:
- Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form
- Sexualised language, imagery, or unwelcome advances
- Trolling, insulting or derogatory comments, and personal attacks
- Publishing others' private information without explicit permission
- Sustained disruption of community discussions or events
- Any conduct that would be considered inappropriate in a professional setting
Scope
This Code of Conduct applies in all DevCongress spaces — including our Slack community, events, meetups, online forums, and any other space where you represent DevCongress or its community.
Enforcement
Community leaders are responsible for clarifying and enforcing these standards. Instances of unacceptable behaviour may be reported to the DevCongress team at hello@devcongress.org. All complaints will be reviewed promptly and handled with discretion.
Community leaders may take any action they deem appropriate, including a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the community.
